North Texas Beef is a division of Horton Hay & Cattle Company, owned by Paradise native (and lifelong Wise county citizen) Gilbert A. Horton. North Texas Beef markets beef for G.A.Horton Beef Cattle. 

 

For years the focus of our small family-oriented operation has been to raise quality coastal and sudan hay, and primarily Angus-influenced commercial cattle (and the occasional use of high quality Hereford bulls to produce outstanding Angus/Hereford cross calves).

More important than our bottom line has been the focus to teach and train the next generation how to be giving, responsible, and kind members of society - using the rural way of life, farming and ranching to teach and enforce those life and societal skills. Along the way, our family has been known to play a little basketball as well.

Our animals are all born and raised in Wise County, Texas. With a foundation commercial herd dating back to the 1970's, our focus for decades has been to raise a quality animal, whether that purpose is ultimately for breeding or for meat production.
